Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is an alternative to surgical rhinoplasty which may be suitable for people who want to make minor alterations to their nose. Unlike surgical rhinoplasty, the surgical procedure involves the use of injectable fillers to improve the contours of the nose and make it more aesthetically appealing. Non-surgical rhinoplasty is quick, almost painless and often brings instant results. Furthermore, there is very little recovery time due to the non-invasive nature of the procedure. On the downside, the effectiveness of the injections is only temporary and they also cannot be used for major alterations of the nose.

One of the most effective uses of non-surgical rhinoplasty is smoothing out the dorsal nasal profile. In this case, a non-surgical procedure may be a suitable alternative to formal rhinoplasty. The main difference is that instead of using an implant or your own cartilage to rebuild the nose, injectable fillers are used. A downside to this is that the result is not permanent.

Who Can Benefit from Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

In most cases, a surgical rhinoplasty is preferable to a non-surgical rhinoplasty. This is because only mild corrections can be made using injectable fillers. If you only need to make slight adjustments to your nose, it may be better option than surgical rhinoplasty.

Suitable candidates include:
– Dorsal hump
– Low nasal radic
– Contour irregularities along nasal dorsum
– Contour irregularties in nasal tip
– Surface irregularities post previous rhinoplasty or nasal surgery

Each case needs to assessed on an individual basis and Dr Watts will advise whether a non-surgical rhinoplasty is a suitable procedure or whether a formal rhinoplasty is the procedure of choice.
