Male Breast Reduction (Gynaecomastia Reduction)
Male breast reduction (gynaecomastia reduction) is done to flatten the breast area. It is done as a day procedure under general anaesthetic and usually takes about 1 hour. The surgical procedure involves reduction by excision of glandular and fatty tissue and may also involve liposuction depending on the amount of fatty tissue present. After the procedure you will notice a small incision line which is normally placed along the edge of the nipple.

What to Expect From a Male Breast Reduction
Results of this procedure are permanent, although subsequent obesity can create a gynaecomastia like effect.
Following surgery you will be required to wear a post operative surgical garment for at least 2 weeks. There is generally little downtime. Most men return to work within 1 week.
